" A TREE City/USA Community! "
W. Warwick is /\ A /\ TREE CITY/USA Community

YOUR COMMUNITY PALS,
Here are some of the benefits provided by mulching:
^ retains soil moisture | ^ more visually appealing | ^ encourages & rewards soil microbes and invertebrates
^ reduces weed & turf growth | ^ prevents mower & string trimmer blight | ^ prevents soil temperature extremes
^ increases soil fertility | ^ improves soil structure
|
Life in the Arboretum. Mulch all the way to the dripline if you really want to minimize the influence of turf (allelopathic & competition for nutrients/water/space). Depth around 3 inches |

When mulch kills! Be CAREFUL!!!
AVOID volcano mulch... applying over 3 inches ... contact with the trunk ... 'sour' mulch
REMEMBER! Saturday May 7th, 2011 10:am – 2:pm
Join the JCS as they hold their 14th annual ECOLOGY DAY Festival of EARTH Day
Month, that incorporates the cultivation efforts of ARBOR DAY in planting 'zone-applied'
beautiful and colorful flowers along the JAYCEE CORRIDOR & ARBORETUM.
